Monday 19 September: Paul’s killers are in court and Pam has an ultimatum for Les

Paul Coker’ killers are up in court today and, despite Pam’s reservations, Les is determined to be there.

Pam and Les’s ongoing tension reaches breaking point after the court date, and Pam leaves Les in no doubt that she has had enough of his recent behaviour. Pam insists that Les needs ‘Christine’ to help him through this difficult time, and tells him that their relationship is at risk if he doesn’t. Naturally, this ultimatum leaves Les a bit stumped, but what will he do?

Elsewhere on the Square, it’s all getting a bit much for Sonia as she clashes with both Tina and Bex following her revelation that she will be leaving for Kettering tomorrow. While this is going on, Shirley is struggling to properly care for Sylvie. An exasperated Shirley blames Sonia for the mess and gives her some harsh home truths about the way she has been treating Tina.

Meanwhile, Lee and Whitney are thinking about getting a place for themselves – obviously on Albert Square – and are interested in renting one of Jack’s flats. The only stumbling block is that they can’t afford it, so Lee goes cap in hand to his parents to seek some help. This forces Whitney to have to tell Linda exactly why she wants to move out…
